Method
- Step 1: Start by marinating the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, or if you have time, overnight is even better for maximum flavor.
- Step 2: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 3: In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Step 4: Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off. Dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated. Then, dip it back into the buttermilk and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Step 5: Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and beautifully crispy.
- Step 6: While the chicken is baking, toast your hamburger buns lightly.
- Step 7: In a separate bowl, mix the chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese.
- Step 8: To assemble your burger, place a crispy chicken breast on each toasted bun, top with the Caesar salad mixture, and add any optional toppings like sliced tomatoes or crispy bacon if you wish.
- Step 9: Serve immediately and enjoy every bite!
Notes
If you happen to have any leftovers, store the assembled burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’ll last for about 2 days, but I recommend eating them fresh for the best taste.
