Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This is the perfect temperature to get that corn beautifully steamed.
- Step 2: Place the corn (in its husk) directly onto the oven rack. Yes, you heard it right! No need to shuck it beforehand.
- Step 3: Bake the corn for 30 minutes. The heat will work its magic, softening the kernels and making them easier to peel.
- Step 4: Remove the corn from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Be careful, it's hot!
- Step 5: Once cool enough to handle, cut off the bottom end of the cob. This will give you a nice opening to work with.
- Step 6: Hold the top end of the cob and gently squeeze. Watch in awe as the kernels slide out easily, leaving the husk and silk behind!
Notes
If you have leftover corn, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the kernels if you want to save them for later. Just cut them off the cob and place them in a freezer-safe bag!
