Ingredients

For the Salad
  • 1 lb flank steak the star of the show, tender and full of flavor
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for that perfect sear and richness
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 cups mixed salad greens a vibrant base full of nutrients
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved, juicy bursts of sweetness
  • 1 whole avocado sliced, creamy goodness that balances everything
  • ½ whole red onion thinly sliced, a little zing for flavor
  • ½ cup feta cheese crumbled, adds a salty, tangy kick
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinaigrette the perfect dressing to tie it all together

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Large Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. It’s important to get it nice and hot so the steak sears perfectly.
  2. Step 2: Rub the flank steak with olive oil, and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side. Once done, remove it from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  4. Step 4: While the steak is resting, grab a large bowl and prepare your salad. Combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, red onion, and feta cheese.
  5. Step 5: Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  6. Step 6: Top your salad with the sliced steak and drizzle everything with balsamic vinaigrette.
  7. Step 7: Toss gently to combine and serve immediately. Enjoy every bite!

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the salad components separately to keep everything fresh. The steak can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, while the salad greens will last about 2 days.
