Ingredients

For the Poulet crémeux au riz et trois fromages
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Sharp Knife
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Serving Spoon

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In the same skillet, add the long-grain white rice and toast for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Step 3: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid.
  4. Step 4: While the rice is cooking, slice the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Step 5: Once the rice is cooked, stir in the heavy cream and all three cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan) until melted and creamy.
  6. Step 6: Add the sliced chicken back into the skillet, mix well, and heat through.
  7. Step 7: Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.
