Ingredients

For the Spicy Grilled Chicken Skewers
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Skewers

Method

  1. Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Step 2: Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Step 3: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Step 4: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  5. Step 5: Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
  6. Step 6: Grill the chicken skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  7. Step 7: Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the cooked skewers for up to 2 months.
