Ingredients

For the Teriyaki Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 pieces ripe peaches pitted and sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 pieces green onions sliced
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Separate pan for sautéing
  • Small bowl for mixing
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp Knife
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Method

  1. Step 1: Begin by placing the boneless, skinless chicken thighs in a large mixing bowl. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Step 2: After marinating, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken thighs to the skillet. Sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  3. Step 3: While the chicken is resting, heat a separate pan over medium heat. Add the sliced peaches and grated ginger. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the peaches are tender and fragrant.
  4. Step 4: In a small bowl, combine sesame oil and sesame seeds. Mix them well to create a flavorful drizzle.
  5. Step 5: After the chicken has rested, slice it into strips. On a serving plate, arrange the sliced chicken, then generously top it with the sautéed ginger peaches. Drizzle the sesame oil mixture over the top and garnish with sliced green onions. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet to preserve texture.
